Target Soccer
A soccer school runs at the club nearly every Saturday morning between the times of 10am and 11.30am. It is open to boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 11 years of age. The school traditionally shuts over the Christmas Holiday and whilst the Club runs its Summer Gala. Information is placed on the Target web site by 9 am on Saturday to confirm the school is running. Target has run in association with the club since 1995 to produce a football development centre and a coach mentoring service. This called a ‘pay to play’ session and a fee of £4 per child is payable per session. More information is available on the Target Soccer website www.targetsoccer.co.uk.

Teams
Teams are formed every year for Boys at under 7s (children under 7 years of age on 1st of September - year 2 at school) and these stay and train within Target Soccer. Girls teams start at under 8s (children under 8 years of age on 1st of September - year 3 at school). As soon as a Manager is appointed their details will be added to the club website. In the meantime, Target Soccer will point you in the right direction. Although Target Soccer is independent and separate to teams it is run under the direction of Kevin Barr our Director of Coaching at the Club. Wigton use this link to form Teams and begin their footballing education - pop along to link up with future team mates.

Teams at under 8 age group play in the Harrogate Junior Friendly League – matches are held on a Sunday Morning.

Team Selection
Players are selected for Teams on a first come – first served basis and squads are capped at maximum levels by the Club. When a squad is full a waiting list is put in place. Players who have not gained a squad place are welcome to stay in Target Soccer until one becomes available. Players begin playing 5 a side football before progressing on to 7 a side, 9 a side and 11 a side. The teams play mainly in the Harrogate and District League, although some Teams have chosen to play in the Garforth League.
