My name is George I play for Wigton Under 9s. My team today was Benji, James, Lawrence, Dan, Alfie, Freddie, Oliver, Xavi and me ! We played Beckwithshaw under 9s at their ground. The weather was Baltic. When I say Baltic I mean BALTIC !

In the first half I played goals and made some saves and Benji and Freddie made lots of good tackles to help me out. James scored in the 5th minute and we were all very happy.

In the second half Alfie was in goals and he made lots of brilliant saves. Dan had a goal that was disallowed sadly. Lawrence did some very good runs and nearly scored. They managed to creep two goals in the last minute to win 2:1.

The second game started very very very cold and I could barely walk. Alfie scored 2 in the first half and they didn’t score any. Dan got very angry but played well. Lawrence set Alfie up for the first two goals. Oliver was in nets and he made some good saves in the first half. Xavi did some good tackles. Benji was brilliant in defence but we were still very cold. James had some good shots.

Now the second half , this is where it gets exciting. I can talk about goals, goals, goals. Xavi was in nets and he did some magnificent saves but sadly let two in. Alfie scored one more to get his hat-trick and James scored a really good from outside the box. So it was 4:2. Benji handballed it but it was good because the ball would have gone in and we would have lost.So when they did the freekick they missed by miles. SO Benji if you are reading this you should be happy.

Our best game was are first because we worked together and we attacked well then we scored goals. When we played our first match we had a lot of the ball and we used it wisely. When they had the ball we pressured them well and they did not have as many chances as us . The final score was 5-5. We let some easy goals in that we should not have. We scored 5 goals that had a lot of team work in.

In the second mach it was going fine until we got hit on the break five times in the final few minutes and then the final score was 6-1

The second match was not the best but you still need to give credit to Beckwithshaw Saint and hopefully we will do better next time.
